Not saying I’ve heard any rumors or anything, just wondering what you guys would want to see from a (most likely impossible) Fiesta RS or if any from Fords lineup should get the RS treatment.
Personally I would want a compact AWD system mated to a turbo 4 with at least 220-230 hp. That would be plenty in a car of that size. A Mustang RS or Fusion RS could work too.

Fusion and Transit Connect, because why the hell not.

A Fiesta RS would be fantastic. My ultimate “not gonna happen” pipe dream is a Fusion RS wagon.

What would a Mustang RS be?

I want to see the 3.5 Ecoboost V6 from the F-150 mated to the AWD from the Focus RS stuffed into the Mustang. Mustang RS would be a serial killer.

Fiesta RS with the 2.0 Ecoboost. But realistically, a non-RS Fiesta 3-door with the ST suspension, but with the 1.0 Ecoboost and a 6 speed.

Nice but because wagons, all of 5 people would actually buy the Transit Connect wagon, forcing Fords hand and have them come out with an Escape RS -_-.

Likely-ish: Fiesta RS, Fusion RS, Focus RS-R(? Yes? Please?)
Not Gonna Happen: Mustang RS.
Honestly though I could see an awd 230ih hp Fiesta RS in the near future and a Fusion RS around the 350+ mark a year or so after.

Suzuki Every Joy Pop Turbo

Just something to make the stupid ass Ecoboost moniker sound better since it doesnt seem SVO is coming back. I would say a little more power from the turbo 4, some suspension and body bits and there you have it. Might steal sales from higher GT trims but not everyone wants a V8.

Expensive.

Fusion RS is really what I want.

That could work. Give it to me for about 18.5 and im game.

I like your thinking, but I have no idea how a Focus RS-R would work. That would probably be some kind of homologation WRC special like the RS2000.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 00:48 |

I like to imagine it as some sort f Hellcat-esque homologation car personally. Or in other words some sort of compound boosted 450+HP AWD (obviously) Focus.

ST should be their performance line-up, and RS should be their exclusive batshit model.

why a wagon? Fusion RS would be cool enough

Because I like to be able to stick a lot of what what in the butt.

because wagons are just better.

Just go up an engine and add AWD for every model. Fusion RS with the 2.7TT would be an awesome S4 fighter. Fiesta could have the 2.0T. Don’t know if the Mustang would be a good fit, but the 3.5TT would be a great engine in that car.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 03:10 |

The 3.5TT needs to be in something that doesn’t weight 4000 lbs. I’d even like seeing the 2.7TT in something that isn’t a full size, with AWD. Fusion RS works.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 03:11 |

The 2.3 is nowhere enough engine for a Mustang RS. But the 3.5TT would be interesting...
![]() 07/23/2015 at 03:27 |

3.5TT. 2.7 if they want to offer a super light GT3RS type version.

I feel this will happen. Ford said they’re announcing 12 performance models this year. And here’s a quote from Road & Track:
“The new (RS awd) system will employ torque vectoring front and rear to aid handling, and after debuting in the Focus RS it will trickle down to other applications.”
If they make it I will buy it!

The answer you are looking for is the Flex RS. Bump the output in the 3.5 (maybe 420HP or so) and mate it to an AWD system.
![]() 07/23/2015 at 07:33 |

They could actually call it the Fiesta Sport or maybe the Fiesta Rallye (because rallye is a cool word).

Every time I see the words ‘Ford Fusion’ I think of what Fusion Europe had to the Ford Fusion nee Ford Mondeo the U.S. had.
In Europe the Ford Fusion was essentially a Ford Fiesta with more headroom.
2005 Ford Fusion
2005 Ford Fiesta
I don’t think I’d like to see a Ford Fusion/Mondeo RS.
I’d probably like to see a Ford S-Max RS. Car shown is a previous generation S-Max Titanium-X Sport 2.0TDCi.

Nice, or the Connects smaller sibling the Tourneo Courier RS.
or Courier Kombi to mix it up a little.

Taurus RS (or SHO). Build it with a biturbo V8.
I love monstrous sedans.

Wagons are cool but doesn’t mean every car needs to be one that’s just absurd

Every car needs to be a wagon? No, but the problem is, NONE of the cars are wagons right now.
